Impact of Spatial Scale and Building Exposure Distribution on Earthquake Insurance Rates: A Case Study in Tangshan, China

چکیده
Abstract In order to examine the effect of spatial scale and building exposure distribution on pure rate earthquake catastrophe insurance, this study described three modules for determination, put forward general assumptions principles calculating insurance rate, introduced types their calculation. Taking Tangshan City Hebei Province in China as an example, we analyzed regional terms by using method control variables. The results show that districts (or counties) with large differences seismic risk, risk areas can be further divided apply differential rates. a diverse potential source density, there is overestimating or underestimating when buildings are distributed evenly partially evenly. This violates break-even principle setting. also provides reference companies choose detailed level determination.
